How Are The Eagles Doing This Season?
Philadelphia is on a roll this season, boasting an undefeated streak of 5 impressive wins. It started with a heated match against the Detroit Lions, which had many twists and turns but saw them as the victors scoring 38-35. Next, the team marched home to Lincoln Field Stadium to deal with a Viking raid. The Minnesota Vikings had come for them, but the Eagles held their ground and beat back the invaders 24-7.
Then, they went over to the FedEx Field Stadium to deal with the Washington Commanders, beating them 24-8. Then, it was a tight match against the Jacksonville Jaguars, resulting in another win with a score of 29-21. Finally, week 5 saw them go against the Cardinals, perhaps the most challenging game they played this season.
How Did Philadelphia Do Against The Arizona Cardinals?
24-year-old Eagles quarterback, Jalen Hurts, delivered the first touchdown of the game early on in the first quarter. The move immediately put Philly in a 7-point lead going into the game. Arizona tried to hit back on their drive but was unsuccessful in the first quarter.
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles advanced once more and charged 97 yards to score their second touchdown. The 14-point lead was starting to put Philly at ease until Arizona hit them back with their first touchdown of the game. The Cardinals followed through with a 20-yard field goal, bringing them closer to their opponents at 10-14.
The Eagles quickly increased the score gap by hitting their opponents with a 20-yard field goal. This solidified their lead position and brought the score to 10-17 at the end of the third quarter. The Cardinals scored another touchdown in the next quarter and equalized the score at 17-17. Just when it looked like things would extend to overtime, Cameron Dicker hit a 23-yard field goal, putting the Eagles in the lead again and as the match’s victors.
How Are The Cowboys Doing This Season?
The Cowboys had a ripe season and secured an impressive 4-1 record. Although it’s not as polished as Philly’s 5-0 undefeated streak, it’s still something worth boasting about.
The Cowboys suffered their first and only defeat, in week 1 of the NFL season, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was perhaps one of the worst matches in the history of the Cowboys, as they were defeated 3-19.
However, the early loss gave them a newfound resolve which would stay with them throughout. Week 2 gave them the first taste of victory when they bested the Cincinnati Bengals 20-17. Dallas then moved on to defeat the New York Giants, 23-16, the Washington Commanders, 25-10, and finally, the Los Angeles Rams, 22-10.
How Did Dallas Do Against The Los Angeles Rams?
Dallas was at their best during their last game against LA and secured a touchdown and a field goal early in the first quarter. However, the 9-point lead was quickly challenged when the Rams made their next drive, which ended with placekicker Matt Gay scoring a 6-point field goal.
LA came back in the second quarter, with wide receiver Cooper Kupp scoring a massive 75-yard touchdown. But the freshly won 10-9 lead didn’t last long, as Dallas quickly countered with a 57-yard touchdown, putting the score at 10-16.
Dallas improved their lead further in the third quarter with a field goal to bring the score to 10-19. The fourth quarter displayed plenty of back-and-forths from both teams, but Dallas came through with another field goal, putting them in a 22-19 lead. After a hard-fought battle, the Dallas Cowboys won this season’s fourth victory, with placekicker Brett Mahar delivering the final blow to their opponents.
Eagles Vs. Cowboys: Match Predictions
As the much-anticipated match approaches, we’re left wondering which team will come out on top. The Eagles are on a good drive, and nothing seems to stop them. However, some feel that Philly’s undefeated streak might come to a halt this Monday at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys.
The main concern for the Eagles is Dallas’s solid defensive line which has been the source of their prowess. The Cowboys have held back waves of opponents with their defensive line, getting at least four sacks each game.
Much of the credit goes to linebacker Micah Parsons, who we’ve seen turn into a modern-day berserker plenty of times this season. The Cowboys will no doubt be counting on his tenacity and power to keep the Eagles at bay. However, Parsons did suffer a groin injury during the last game and had to leave momentarily. Although he brushed it off and returned to the field later, it is still somewhat concerning.
Meanwhile, the Eagle’s offensive line isn’t at its very best right now, and fans are concerned whether the team can stop Dallas’s effective pass rush tactic. Will they hold off their opponents and maintain their undefeated streak? Or will the Cowboys dominate the field once again? Find out this Monday!
